Villa Rental Near Disney

When we decided to go to Florida for our dream Disney holiday we faced the decision of whether to stay at a Disney resort or look for a villa rental near Disney. We wanted to be on the doorstep of Disney but were surprised at how costly some of the hotels were. It quickly became clear that a villa rental near Disney may better suit our budget. I was not sure how the rest of the family would take this so I did some research in to all the villa rental near Disney that was available. Let me tell you this is quite a task. I found there were numerous different villa developments offering villa rental near Disney.

I also took advice from friends who had experience of staying at a villa rental near Disney and got there thoughts on how this compared to staying at a Disney resort. The overwhelming response we got was that a villa rental near Disney would offer us the best of both worlds whilst not hurting our pockets too much.

Our priority was to be as close to the Magic Kingdom at Disney World as we could but we also wanted to be close to Universal Studios as we were keen to try out the Expedition Everest ride. I found, after much deliberation, that one of the best resorts offering villa rental near Disney was the Windsor Hills resort. It is located just minutes from the Magic Kingdom which really appealed to me as we had no desire to spend our holiday in the car getting from our villa rental near Disney to the parks. There is also a regular shuttle from reception that goes to Disney World so there is no need to use the car at all – heaven!!

The Windsor Hills villas and town houses looked luxurious, spacious and were located just minutes from the magic of Disney. Whilst the older members of our group could see the benefit to a villa rental near Disney we were met by some stiff opposition from the children who had their heart set on staying on site at Walt Disney World. We tried winning them over to our way of thinking by showing them all the great amenities Windsor Hills Resort had to offer and we thought we were almost there persuading them that a villa rental near Disney was a great idea until they realised that they may have to make their own bed in the morning !!

It seemed that we were going to need to be more persuasive to win them over to our cost cutting idea of villa rental near Disney. We could see that their little hearts were set on a stay at a Disney resort so we had to go back to the drawing board and see how we could make the best saving from a villa rental near Disney whilst still fulfilling their dream of staying at Disney World.

We finally arrived at a compromise of a four days stay at a Disney Resort and 10 days in a villa rental near Disney. Peace and harmony restored once more. I should be a UN peacekeeper.
